13 Reasons Why
Still not much happening on the TV side, so I decided to finish off capping the first series of 13 Reasons Why which I first capped on the Australian/NZ actress section of the site as it stars Australian actress Katherine Langford. There was some other stuff in the series, mainly from Alisha Boe and it was relatively quick to complete. The Michele Selene Ang video was previously posted with the Katherine Langford videos.
Pretty good show if you interested (it's on Netflix) in angsty teen dramas with heavy emphasis on drama. This ain't Saved By The Bell after all...
Another series of the Netflix teen drama 13 Reason Why done and it goes back to the mystery format of the first series (after the more dramatic second series) and is probably better for it. Introduces an unreliable narrator character played by Grace Saif and her character jumps head first into the mystery and sort of overwhelms the series. While the mystery makes the show more interesting, it's at its best when it does the dramatic scenes as the mystery usually throws out way too may red herrings and goes on for far too long. By the end of this series, I was hoping that would be it, the show has long past exhaustion point but it ends in such a convoluted way that it's clearly angling for another series and a quick check suggest that's going to happen. Aww shit...
All I'll say is thankfully this show is over, the insanity was already high in this series but it was dialed up to 1000 in this series. This show probably shouldn't have gone passed series 2 and even then it was probably too far. The third and fourth series were so ridiculous, it just seemed like every new episode was trying to top the last for how ridiculous it could be. Series 4 took that to new heights, oh one active shooter is not enough, how 'bout another? How 'bout a riot? Also the series ends in a way that makes it completely inessential. Very disappointing but completely expected. Enough!!
