A Place To Call Home

Forgot about this as I've had the Blurays lying around since series 1 finished, but now series 2 has started, so I probably should get around to capping it properly. Channel 7's attempt at a Downton Abbey knock-off was a pretty big success, but I got bored of it, unsurprisingly. Channel 7 seems to do middle-of-the-road drama better than the other channels and attracts the large audience that comes with that. I'd like to see them take a risk, but that is rarely their way. The last drama that was outside that box was probably Last Man Standing and even then not by much. I don't see it happening anytime soon.

What was I talking about again..?

Series 3 of A Place To Call Home was made for Pay-TV after Channel 7 decided to cancel the series, so as I don't have Pay-TV, I have to rely on others and there was only one source and the quality isn't the greatest, watchable, but could be better. There should be a high quality version available at some stage, so I'll get around to updating that when I can. Wonder if Channel 7 will get around to showing it considering they still have their fingerprints on it?

The series has only ever had brief moments of nudity, this season is no exception, but we get the nude debut of Arianwen Parkes-Lockwood, which is a very nice surprise, in fact she has two brief nude scenes. Was not expecting that at all. Not sure if they'll be more of this show, don't see why not.

Another series of A Place To Call Home aired on Pay TV late last year and I've finally gotten around to capping it, mainly because a couple of episodes were hard to find in decent quality and I just plain forgot. Also, it's the law of diminishing returns in regards to capping with the first 3 series series having some brief nudity, but nothing much to cap at all after that, although this series is slightly better than the barren series 4.

I think it's been announced that the next series is the final series, although I could care less at this stage.

Only capped the 2015 series of A Place To Call Home, the first on Pay-TV from some SD rips as it was hard-to-find anything bigger but I bought the series cheaply off iTunes a little while later and then promptly forgot about it. So I've finally gotten around to capping the series in HD, mainly because it was the only series where Arianwen Parkes-Lockwood had nude scenes in, briefly in a couple of episodes and always wanted a better copy of the scenes. So, it's finally done... Still have to find HD rips of series 4-6 although there's no nudity and barely anything to cap in those series.
