Filthy Rich

With the Olympics upon us and television basically shutting up shop for the next couple of weeks (the only Australian drama still going is Neighbours), it's time to get onto some stuff I've been procrastinating about.

Today, I begin going through the New Zealand night-time soap Filthy Rich which ran for 20 episodes, 2 episodes a week back through February-April. Basically another retread of rich people mixing with poor people soap genre as the patriarch of a family apparently jumps to his death and during the will reading, the family find out that the patriarch fathered 3 children to different mothers and is giving them a stake in the company. Well, his wife (Miriama Smith), who runs the company, reluctantly welcomes them in and tries to buy them off, but things are never that easy with various other people wanting their own pound of flesh.

Not a bad show, pretty watchable and plenty of sexy stuff especially with one of the bastard children being a stripper, so there's a bit of strip club action, although there's no real nudity from the main cast, just a few hints, more than the usual stuff from the Australian soaps. In fact, I made 17 videos from the first two episodes alone but Emma Fenton's character leaves stripping, for a while, but there's so characters added later in the series that do a bit of underwear stuff, so there's lots more to cap. I estimate something around 100 videos all up from the 20 episodes. I'm also working on collages and they'll come in later updates. I plan on capping about 2-3 episodes a day and get through it in about a week, but it'll probably take longer.

Videos from 4 episodes today, so I'm slowly getting there. Emily Robins, who I haven't seen since SLiDE (and apparently hasn't been in movies/TV since) turns up and has a bunch of underwear scenes, which was a nice bonus.

Videos from 5 episodes today as the sexy stuff slowed down a little during these episodes, but never fear, it picks up again for the rest of the series. I'll probably do 3 episodes at a time for the rest of the series. A couple of actresses (Shushila Takao and Xana Tang) get there first videos although they are regulars in the series.

Sadly, episode 11 was only ever available in 720p, but every other episode was available in 1080p. Sadly, the NZ capper has stopped capping NZ shows in HD which is a shame as Westside is currently playing and there was a 1080p version of the first series, but sadly not of this series.

Four more episodes and I just realised I have to finish off the collages. Damn...

Finally got around to capping the second series of this sexy New Zealand soapie, more of the same but 7 fewer episodes this series. The first series ended with Emma Fenton's character getting thrown off a building and wouldn't you know it, she survived the 20 storey fall. Amazing... Having said that, there would have been significantly less sexy stuff to cap in the series without her and she spends the first 4 episodes in a hospital bed, so there's not a lot of stuff the cap before then. There's plenty in the rest of the series, so they'll be two more updates from this series.
