H2O: Just Add Water

Been sitting on this one for a while before finally been bothered to do something about it after 2 false starts. Funnily enough, the spin-off, Mako Mermaids, begins soon. If you've watched anything from the Jonathan M. Shiff factory, particularly recently (Lightning Point) you know the drill and Mako Mermaids is looking pretty much the exact same. At least there's always pretty young girls to look at because as far as plots go, even the youngsters must get bored with sameness of them.

Part 1 of this update features all the stuff featuring Claire Holt, now in The Vampire Diaries and it's spin-off, whatever that is. The other leads will featuring in the coming days, so look out for those.

Series 2 of the mermaid kids show that has now spawned a spin-off called Mako Mermaids, which will hopefully be capped here at a later date. In series 2, the girls now have some competition in the form of a newcomer to town played by Brittany Byrnes, whose character is so deliberately obnoxious that you almost feel sorry for her when the shit goes down.

Haven't watched any of series 3 as yet, but it looks like Claire Holt is out, replaced by Indiana Evans (good choice), so I'll hopefully get around to that soon.

Final update for series 2 featuring the guest stars, although Brittany Byrnes is in every episode as the love rival who later turns into rival mermaid. I've said previously that her character was ridiculously obnoxious, but her character is a bizarre staple of kid's show where if the 'heroes' were a little less self-obsessed, they'd probably like them. Probably just me...

Third and final series of the mermaid kids show that loses Claire Holt and replaces her with Indiana Evans, so no complaint from here. And the transition is barely even mentioned as if it was already predetermined. Way to move on quickly! Otherwise it's business as usual, this time looking to find out the secret of the cave where they turned into mermaids. It seems it's from the moon. So, mermaids are from the moon?

Final update from the series. Plenty of stuff to cap and of course, if there isn't enough, there's the spin-off Mako Mermaids that I need to get around to soon enough. I see that it's on Bluray in Germany, so I'll see if I can get a copy, but that maybe asking too much.
