Housos vs. Virus: The Lockdown

Finally gotten around to capping the new series of Housos set during lockdown and honestly, I've never seen a show date as quickly as this show has. It probably didn't help that the show was promoted as far back as April and only started airing in late October when most of Australia's issues with the pandemic were ironed out, but no toilet paper gags 7 months after it stopped being a thing feel like a relic. Housos is what it always has been, a scattershot of mostly terrible jokes that are sometimes funny but are mostly groan inducing and episodes of Housos always seem to run out of steam but this was even more evident with the pandemic restrictions as with a limited cast, creator Paul Fenech had to pad out episodes with things like interminable karaoke or stories which go nowhere but take forever to get there making it feel more like a lazy Family Guy episode. Plus you get the added bonus of Fenech constantly focusing on his G-string including one scene where he just up and talks to his penis which was one of those stories that take forever. The restrictions were definitely a hindrance to Housos but the bar is already low so it doesn't really matter. Also just remembered that the two previous narrators of the show have died so good luck to Elle Dawe.

The usual sex and nudity for this series of Housos, if anything there's probably more from the 'skanks' (as they're called on the show) and considering their only job is to look stoned and have comic sex with Fenech, it meant a bit more to cap. Newcomer Kyrah playing Shazza's daughter did a pretty good impersonation of her mother and had an episode in her underwear which was most welcome. Wish I knew who the girl who flashed her tits was, the credits only aired on two episodes and not in either of the episodes she appeared in. She looked familiar as in someone Fenech had cast previously but I couldn't come up with an answer and they all seem interchangable at this point.
