Of Kings and Prophets

Very loosely based on the Bible (I'd suggest), Of Kings and Prophets lasted 2 episodes in America before being canned. Apparently 13 episodes were planned but it was hard to find more episodes until a Russian version came out with 5 episodes, but recently I found 9 episodes available from another Russian source, so I finally decided to bite the bullet and cap it. I get the feeling that 9 episodes is all that ended up getting made as the end of the 9th episode has a rushed finality of sorts about it. Plus there was two versions, this is the uncut version although it's still very tame, a bit of PG sex, slightly more nudity with showing of bottoms and see-through dresses and side-boobs, but nothing like a premium cable TV show. Was made in South Africa but there isn't many South Africans in it (Alex McGregor is the only South African below), plenty of Brits and a couple of New Zealanders (strangely no Aussies as far as I can tell). Watched 2 episodes and gave up, it just didn't interest me at all, it isn't necessarily bad, just not my thing.

Really only capping this series as New Zealand actress Simone Kessell was in it.
