Reckless

US summer drama has all the intrigue and sexual tension that you'd expect from a series set in New Orleans. A young female cop Lee Anne (Australian actress Georgina Haig) is fired after suggestive pictures of her are circulated around the force. She sues for sexual harrassment using with lawyer Jamie (Anna Wood) and they go up against lawyer Roy (Cam Gigandet). That's the series arc, but each week Jamie and Roy come up against each other in the case-of-the-week. It wasn't a bad show, I say wasn't as it's been cancelled, but it was a show that always went for the more dramatic stunts to keep you interested when the subtle stuff was far more interesting, particularly the relationship between Lee Anne and borderline crooked cop Terry (Shawn Hatosy). Eventually, Reckless can't help itself and has so many twists each one becomes more unbelievable than the last when the basics were already intriguing enough. By the end, Lee Anne's motive don't even make sense most notably a tacked on relationship with the wannabe mayor (Gregory Harrison) which was surely only added for the last minute twist and they had no contact at any time before that. Sometimes, shows just need to hold their nerve and let the story unfold, but everything has to be bombastic nowadays...

Just looking at the tags and just realised that the Georgina Haig collection is quickly expanding. If she ever gets naked...
