Reckoning

Australian series set in California and picked up by Netflix as there's a whiff of a failed attempt to get it on American TV. So it's American accents ahoy plus actual American actors Sam Trammell and Gloria Garayua and then there's obvious Sydney sights passed off as American. If you've read the stuff I write, you'd know that I'm an advocate of American shows being made in Australia but they always end up being so low rent and Reckoning is no different but it does have an OK main plot even if it's by-the-numbers. Having said that, there's more than enough laughable moments as the show is inexplicably 10 episodes long and feels like it could've been done in six tops. Only some soft cable nudity in the show including a blurred out breasts scene from Laura Gordon but it does have one nice surprise with a 'nude' photo of Mitzi Ruhlmann which certainly looks like her.
