Shameless US

A belated look at this series seeing as though series 2 is well under way. I had my reservations about the series seeing as though I really liked the UK series (well, the first 3-4 series, the arrival of the Irish family next door was the deal breaker for me, they ssssssuuuuucccccked). The Irish family is in from the beginning in the US series, but at least they ain't next door and have whole story lines based on their suckiness. And is disconcerting to watch the US series cherry pick plots from various series from the UK series. But the US series succeeds against the odds because the Gallagher family is so well cast, William H. Macy is a perfect Frank (still would have to do a bit more to beat David Threlfall's brilliant Frank Gallagher) and Emmy Rossum is fantastic as Fiona, finally making something of a role. I gotta admit, I was turned, not completely, but I enjoyed the US series nonetheless.

And what of Emmy Rossum pulling off some of the best nudity of last year. Yeah, that's great and all, but those nippy singlet top scenes are just as great. All hail cold weather!

Just a quick note: All the caps have come from a 1080i sources, but not a very good source, so only select episodes were used for full HD videos. The rest of the videos are from a 720p source, also a source I'm not happy with. I need to get my hands on some Bluray episodes, but the collages are perfectly fine. The videos, well, they're only pretty good. The rest of the cast tomorrow.

Being a bit quiet on the TV side of the site, just the soaps. Finally, finally finished the Shameless series 2 that seems to get bigger and bigger every time I go back to it. Started 6 weeks ago, but keep finding more things to do, with over 70 videos (yes 70!) from this series. Also, decided to do more collages of other actresses, not just Emmy and that's taken longer than expected (still have a few more to finish...). But, this series of Shameless is finished capping and over the next week I'll be releasing stuff from it.

I had my apprehensions about the US version of Shameless, even after series 1, but series 2 has branched out on it's own and is now forging it's own path. And is doing a pretty damn good job of it. Definitely liking this show, I just wish I don't have to wait another year before capping series 3. Damn it!

Ummed and ahhhed about doing collages for the following women and just decided fuck it, just do it, hence why it took so long to get this series out. Ah well, it's done now.

That time of year again where I go down the Shameless path and by now, it has definitely grown apart from the UK original (hell, Fiona and Steve went on the run after series 2 and got married in real life...). My apprehension about watching the American series is well and truly gone and I gotta say I really loved series 3 and will have to force myself to wait until it's Bluray release before watching the currently showing series 4. Might be hard...

Final lot of the Shameless stuff. If I'd have done this series last year, the Galadriel Stineman scene would've made my top 10. Great scene and the clown's reaction is classic.

Finally catching up with Shameless, pretty good season this time around but it was tough seeing Emmy's character self-destruct like that. The addition of Emily Bergl's character as another one of Frank's daughters was good too, even though that borderline incest plot went on way too long. And those kids are growing up way too quick, even quicker than I remember on the British show. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that the US version is well and truly surpassed the quality and watchability of the original. Geez, the original really dropped off the planet when the Gallagher family started leaving in droves and that horrible, highly annoying Irish family, far better portrayed in the US version, took over the show.

Taken forever to get around to finishing this series off, just haven't been bothered. I watched it in a week, but getting around to making all the stuff has been a pain in the arse, otherwise I would've had it out a month ago. Still not finished either, probably won't have it finished in this week if I don't get out of the slump.

Anyway, still really liking Shameless, pretty fun to watch the Gallagher family and the hangers-on getting about. Always some good nudity from the cast and numerous actresses who just seem to appear for a quick show of their breasts before we never see them on the show again. Also some great nudity from Sasha Alexander and Bojana Novakovic (have already capped Bojana's scenes and they can be seen on the Aus/NZ actress section) towards the end of the series.

Not a lot to cap from the last 5 episodes of the series. Also finally finished to collages from series 6 and finished off this seasons as well. I don't know why I started capping Shameless as I wasn't really into a remake of series I liked, but I didn't think it would go 7 series and now an 8th to come. If I'd known I would still be capping it now... Ah well, I still quite enjoy the show I s'pose.

Last of the Shameless updates for the latest series and now completely up-to-date. Also a few collages of Emmy from the series, but not a lot to work with for collages. And I've just clocked up 100 videos of Emmy from the show, so there's plenty to see in the archive.

Last few episodes of series 9 and the last we'll probably see of Emmy Rossum in the show which is a shame but nine series on one show is a fair effort and the amount of sexy and nude scenes she did throughout her run of the show was plentiful. I made 50 collages and over 100 videos of her, so there's much to sift through. She'll be a big loss to the show but there's always plenty going on in the show and always something to cap. It's still a very watchable show but it's going to be weird without her.

The final series of Shameless, finally, 11 long series, 132 episodes and I made 132 collages and 450 videos (103 of Emmy Rossum) from the series. To be honest, I'm glad it's over as I couldn't be bothered watching the final series. I watched the first 10 but I was done and it wasn't helped that the 12 episode final series took about 20 weeks to air, so any interest I might've mustered went away. Recently, I've capped a few actresses and wondered what else they've done, so I looked them up and a few of them ended up having nude scenes from earlier series of Sham less, so they cast a lot of actresses in its time. In the end, the show ended up doing about the same amount of episodes of the British original which is pretty wild.

At some stage I probably should recap the 1st series as some of the original videos are not full HD and from memory (it was 10 years ago), I think I capped it from some scratchy source. I capped everything after that from either the Bluray release or HD rips.
