The Shark Net
2003 three part miniseries set in Perth about renowned local writer's Robert Drewe childhood and early adulthood and about the last man hung in Western Australia, a violent serial killer who lived close by. Interesting story that spans about 15 years through the 50s and 60s and very much about loss of innocence with a serial killer on the loose. The scene where the serial killer goes around town one night randomly shooting people is quite shocking. The stuff involving the deterioration of the author's mother is quite hard to watch, particularly with the way things have advanced nowadays. It's also the first place I saw Emma Booth, Pretty good stuff.
