Another Australian cable TV series, this time a teen drama set in Brisbane, that... that is so obviously influenced by the earlier series of Skins I did wonder how closely at times. Alright, it veers away more as the series moves on, but there are similarities.

It's all about the final year of high school and the parties and a tight group of friends that are literally thrown together after the out-of-control party for one character's birthday. Over the year, the five of them will share many things (including beds) with Ed and Tammy (Gracie Gilbert) looking to lose their virginity by the end of the year and if not, they pledge to lose it together. Except Ed loses his to the dorky neighbours that will come back to embarrass him horrendously later in the year. This leads to one image that is quite horrifying as the dorky neighbour has filmed it on her phone and she's watching it back while clumsily eating an ice cream and has a look on her face that is truly terrifying, I'll never forget it...

Anyway, this series worked on a multi-platform level, so there were webisodes (thankfully put on the DVDs) that seemed to explain a far bit and I can imagine would've left those who just watched the weekly episode scratching their head wondering if they missed something. For example, the principal of their school dies because of the actions of one of the group in a webisode, then it mentioned in the next episode that she killed him. Um, when did that happen?? Good luck if you only watched the TV show.

I liked the show. I actually thought the show got better as it went along and more than it's obvious similarites to Skins, it brought back memories to when Skins was fresh and actually pretty interesting instead of how vapid the later series have become. At least it was something different from an Australian drama, because we all know commercial TV won't come up with anything wildly different.

There was a lot of great cappable stuff from the series, which was a great bonus. Only brief nudity from Gracie Gilbert (graduating from the quite good kids show Lockie Leonard), that I think is her, it could be a double, but I doubt it. Over the next two days I'll release stuff from other in the cast including a helluva lot from Emily Robins, who has some great bikini scenes and the other lead female Adele Perovic with some more from guest stars.

Doubt there'll be a second series, but hopefully we'll see more from the lead actresses in the future.
