Starting From... Now

Haven't capped an Australian web series in a while and this Starting From... Now is one of the more popular ones, so much so that series 4 and 5 are currently being shown on SBS2, with it's highly shit quality and all. Had this sitting around for a while, so finally gotten around to finishing it off.

Basically, Starting From... Now is a lesbian drama, more on the soapie side of drama that's from one of the makers of another lesbian web series The Newtown Girls, which I've already capped. Steph (Sarah de Possesse) arrives in the big city for a job and to live with her lawyer friend Kristen (Lauren Orrell) and her long-term partner Darcy (Rosie Lourde). Steph and Darcy have an immediate connection which they both struggle to deny. Steph tries to ignore the spark by going after workmate Emily (Bianca Bradey) but Steph only seems to be using her until she and Darcy explode in passion. When they do, it will have a major affect on all four women, not necessarily in a good way. In fact the series gets more depressing the longer it goes with the episodes of series 4 that I've seen the most depressing yet. Kristen loses the plot with no Darcy and something unexpected happens between Steph and Darcy. It's actually a pretty good series and at only 6-11 minutes an episode can be quite addictive and run through the show pretty quickly in the age of binge watching. But the short runtime means that it's harder to get a lot of extended sexy stuff, but there's a few scenes along the way, quite a few girl-girl kisses.

I've only seen the first three episodes of series 4, not too much to cap although there's a bit of action between Rosie Lourde and former Home and Away star Kylie Watson (who was also in The Newtown Girls). When I get a better quality, I'll post what I can.

Final series of this lesbian web series, not a lot to cap. Strangely, everbody gets a happy ending despite being miserable for the past few series.
