Step Dave

New NZ TV show Step Dave is a fairly entertaining dramedy about an almost 40 year-old mother of three (Sia Trokenheim), who falls for a carefree 24 year-old bartender (Jono Kenyon) and they decide to make a go of a relationship with all the trials and tribulations of that and all their family and friends. Plays similar to the Australian show Offspring, particularly the family and friends stuff, but doesn't come the annoyingly neurotic lead. I gotta admit I kinda enjoyed it more than I thought it would, even it's unhealthy obsession with Margaret Urlich and sadly I recognised that song Escaping I hadn't heard in 20+ years instantly. Also turning up in the show is Lisa Harrow who hasn't been in anything in over a decade. Don't know if there will be a second series, but I wouldn't mind seeing one.

Second series of this NZ 'dramedy' that I quite like even though there isn't a lot of progression in this series even with some new characters added. Has some interesting storylines though as was in the first series so it continues to be very watchable. Plus absolutely zero complaints when the additions include Delaney Tabron and Amanda Tito (see tomorrow's update), both of which had a nude scene in a movie in 2015.
