The Strip (NZ)

Was gifted the first series of this 2002-2003 New Zealand dramedy about a woman who decides to start an all-male strip club after she catches her husband in bed with another man. It's a show that never really takes itself seriously so there's lot of little funny moments and of course it's full of sexy moments including a surprising amount of nudity from the two female leads, mostly brief but more than I was expecting. It has quite a bit to cap and there's 20 episodes so it'll take about 3-4 updates to get through it all. It's also has that early digital look, so it's all chalky but otherwise fine. I spent way too long trying to work out the aspect ratio of the videos before finally working out it's in 1.66:1 ratio, rare for a TV show. Took me way too long to work this out though...

A bit of nudity from Luanne Gordon in these episodes, particularly in episode 8. She has better nudity in the Irish movie Sensation.

Final update for series 1 of The Strip. Sadly episodes 17-20 aren't in HD. Also made a few collages and added a few caps of brief moments.

Hopefully series 2 becomes available.

Received the second and final series of this 2002-2003 New Zealand dramedy about a woman who takes over a male strip club. And the nude scenes keep on coming from the two female leads which is a nice little surprise. The show pretty much carries on from where it left off with only minor changes like Michelle Langstone joins the show a few episodes into this series although very little to cap from her.

The final update from The Strip as it ends at 2 series with a very downbeat open ending which suggested that a 3rd series was hoped for but never eventuated. Feels more than a bit unsatisfying and a lot like how another New Zealand show Nothing Trivial ended and everyone hated so they went back and made a more satisfying movie in that case. Surprisingly good nudity throughout the show, both female leads did a number of nude scenes each. Usually see less the longer a show goes but series 2 was pretty consistent.

Should've done this series of updates over 4 days as it ended up being more intensive than I thought and I barely got it done in time.
