Elizabeth Blackmore and Teressa Liane in The Vampire Diaries series 7

Another update from The Vampire Diaries, this time from the series 7 from 2015-2016 that had a couple of Australian actresses as guest stars throughout the series. Not a lot in this series and if Teressa Liane's character wasn't in a lesbian relationship, there would have been even less.

Penelope Mitchell in The Vampire Diaries series 6

A quick update today from The Vampire Diaries, still a long way from completing it, but this update was quick and easy so why not? Penelope turned up midway through series 5 and then made sporadic appearances in series 6 before being killed off. Never more than a guest star and barely appearing in most of the eps she was in.

Greta Scacchi in Presumed Innocent and Shattered

While not born in Australia, Greta is technically Australian and has been in many Australian productions, ah who cares anyway? Man, Greta was insanely hot in the late 80s/early 90s where today's two movies were released. Presumed Innocent is a pretty decent courtroom based mystery thriller with a great final twist while Shattered is an over-the-top amnesia mystery thriller (most amnesia mysteries are ridiculous and selective) where Tom Berenger tries to piece together what happened to him and why he was spying on his wife only to find out that the truth is, to quote Bob Hoskins in the movie, 'insane'. Plenty of laughable stuff going on in this movie but some good nudity from Greta. I need to dig around for some more as there's plenty of stuff with Greta starring that I could cap.

Phoebe Tonkin, Rebecca Breeds and Claire Holt in The Originals series 3

Finishing off the rest of The Originals with series 4 to come. This series has Rebecca Breeds in a recurring role, so there was a little bit from her to cap. In fact, I counted 6 or 7 Australian actors in one episode which is absolutely ridiculous. Just make the show in Australia, who knows, probably cost less. Will get around to The Vampire Diaries one of these days, but I've got about 4-5 series of stuff to flick through, so it might take a while.

Phoebe Tonkin and Claire Holt in The Originals series 1-2

Took me a while to get around to series as there's a fair bit to get through plus this show (and The Vampire Diaries) is absolutely unconscionable to flick through let alone watch. All moody beautiful young people being angsty in some anonymous places in New Orleans (I assume). But, it does star two Australian actresses in Phoebe Tonkin and Claire Holt and that means I'm gonna take a look at it. Bit of a H2O: Just Add Water reunion there (sadly no Cariba Heine who can't seem to catch on at all), but it doesn't last. Claire leaves the series about halfway through series 1 although she appears now and then in later series when the plot necessitates. Phoebe is still there with the fourth series coming soon. Very little to cap sadly and a quick flick through series 3 isn't coming up with a lot more although Rebecca Breeds turns up, so there's that.

Currently also flicking through The Vampire Diaries which has various Australian actresses coming in and out of the show. Claire Holt is there for a couple of series, Phoebe Tonkin for a dozen or so episodes setting up her Originals character. Penelope Mitchell for a series or so later and Elizabeth Whitmore and Teressa Liane turn up in series 7. Good to see Teressa making some in roads, but that still a bit off from getting around to I'm afraid.
