Further Chantelle Barry nudity plus nudity on Prisoner series 1 and All The Way

Punish The Wicked aka Zealots

I mentioned in the previous update on Chantelle Barry that there may be further nudity from her in the sleazy looking Punish the Wicked. Thanks to the same person who found The Company You Keep for me, they managed to find this movie as it got a release in Brazil. And yes, Chantelle does have a brief nude scene in the movie, not as good as she does in The Company You Keep but it's better than nothing. She also spends a bit of time in underwear.

The movie, also known as Zealots, is absolute dog shit and completely imcompetent. The movie is barely written, it just wanders from scene to scene, a lot not making sense, scenes just happening sometimes playing out with the music playing and the dialogue not playing at all. The plot is basically a bunch of teens are sent to a Christian Nursing Home for a few days to comtemplate the Bible but basically being used as free slave labour for the facility. The owner is a strict adherent of the Bible and tells the teens to strictly follows its tenets while making the women wear chaste clothing so that the boys don't get horny. The owner is helped out by a total nutcase of a woman who seems to love forcing the girls to strip down to as few clothes as possible. Basically, someone is killing the teens and the members of the nursing home and really it's either the owner or the nutcase woman and well... it's both. There's plenty of nudity and the ending is entirely baffling. I still don't know how the owner dies. He just slips on the floor after gassing a Nazi woman from the nursing home with a can of Zyklon-B she just kept as a souvenir. I don't even know what he slipped on, I went back and looked but I've got nothing. There's so many bizarre moments that make no sense or are just baffling. I haven't seen a movie this bad in a while. At least The Company You Keep was a competent movie. Now I'm wondering how Chantelle ended up in a movie this bad...

I've included further scenes from the movie and there's quite a bit of nudity from a number of actresses and when not nude there's some decent underwear scenes. The quality of the DVD is not great but the person who gave it to me cleaned it up a bit and that's what I used when capping it. It's not great but it's better than what the actual DVD looks like.

Prisoner series 1 (1979)

Australian drama also known as Prisoner: Cell Block H  outside of Australia that went for 8 series from 1979-1986 and ended up with 692 episodes. It has a huge ongoing fan base and spawned the also fairly popular Wentworth and I'd hazard to guess it influenced most of the women in prison dramas that came after it.

It's a show not hard-to-find because of it's continuing popularity but I avoided looking at the show for the site mainly because of the 692 episodes. But when 10play put the entire show on it's service in the New Year, I finally decided to take a look. 9 months later I finally got through the 79 episodes of series 1 and there's a bit to cap and even a little nudity along the way.

First up is Margaret Laurence from episode 3 briefly showing her right breast in a dark scene set in the roof of the jail after she has sex with one of the workers. It's hard-to-see but you can just see her nipple in the darkness.

Next in episode 9 is Marilyn Rodgers in an uncredited role as a woman having an affair with a man. We see her leave the bed to put on clothes when the man's wife arrives home and we see her breasts and bottom. Moments later we see her bottom as she's stands at the top of the stairs after hearing the man admit to a crime. Rodgers was a bit of a sex pot at the time and had a nude scene in the 1978 softcore movie Felicity and she is also briefly nude in the 1974 short film The Runner, which I featured on this part of the site a year ago.

Finally in episode 31 is Jude Kuring who briefly shows her breasts as she enters the shower and is then held under the hot water by other prisoners. Jude's had a few nude scenes over the years most notably in the 1977 movie Journey Among Women, the 1981 romantic drama ...Maybe Next Time and funnily enough in the 2003 movie Prisoner Queen which is about a character obsessed with the show Prisoner where she plays that character's mother.

All The Way (1988 TV series)

TV series that followed on from a mini-series of the same name. Basically, it's a show set in the 60s set against the social unheaval at the time but is actually very tame with all episodes rated PG. Of what I watched, it feels a bit like The Sullivans except set 20 years later. It's made by the same company and to be honest it's a pretty boring show.

The cast is full of fairly well known Australian actors but none really stand out. Rowena Wallace was a pretty big soapie star at the time but here her character is pretty neutered and relegated to being a pill popping housewife which is pretty much against type for her. Lisa Hensley and Nikki Coghill were prominent at the time. It's one of Dannii Minogue's first shows, just before she turned up on Home and Away and she replaced Jacqueline McKenzie who played the character in the mini-series.

The show seemed to play over summer but was shown haphazardly and basically dumped whenever the one day cricket wasn't on, which was massive at the time. There was supposedly 32 episodes that were 30 minutes long. Apparently they played in either 1, 2, 3 or 4 episodes at a time like it was being dumped. The person who gave these episodes to me says that he thinks he gave me all the episodes that aired and doing some quick maths suggests it's very close all of them.

 

While the show was rated PG there was a brief nude scene during one episode. Brenda Knowles, credited as Nikki Lane, was a fairly well-known model/stripper at the time and in this scene she plays a stripper who performs for a men's club. We briefly see her breasts as she takes off her blouse. It's not much and quite unexpected.

Brenda turned up a few times in 80s movies most notably Centrespread where she is one of the models and gets very naked. She played a stripper in Death of a Soldier and is one of the naked bodies in a water tank in The Big Hurt. She is also credited as being in two porn/soft core movies in the 90s including one called Arigato Baby which is feature length and seems to be a legitimate sex movie as it's credited on the official Australian film site. Wouldn't mind having a look at it but the movie seems to have disappeared off the face of the Earth.
