Australian movies: 1972-1973
Things are slowly starting to develop in the Australian film industry which gives me the opportunity to go through two years in this update. You'll find that many of the same actresses appear nude in multiple movies in this time so that tells you how small the talent pool was.
1972
The Adventures of Barry McKenzie
A number of early movies were very Australian comedies, known as 'ocker' comedies where the comedy is of a very Australian sensibility and the lead character, usually male, is the most Australian man ever. That basically the conceit of this Bruce Beresford directed movie where Barry 'Bazza' McKenzie (Barry Crocker) goes to Britain which was considered a rite-of-passage for young Australians at the time and kind of still is. Basically, Bazza is an Aussie in Britain to the bafflement and bemusement of the British and there's a few well-known Aussie and British comedians thrown in. Probably would've been hilarious in 1972 (it does have a 1974 sequel) but the comedy has dated badly.
There's a little bit of nudity in the movie from British actress Maria O'Brien plus some unknown actresses in a couple of other scenes
You can find a synopsis and the collages and HD videos from The Adventures of Barry McKenzie here. A preview is below.

Night of Fear
52 minute movie that was supposed to be a TV pilot but got a cinema release in 1973. A very odd horror movie about an outlier who comes across a lost woman near his home and stalks her. There's no dialogue and it's very exaggerated but the movie has strangely developed a cult following when rediscovered by Umbrella Entertainment nearly 20 years ago. No idea why as time hasn't been kind to the movie and because there's no dialogue the acting is wildly exaggerated and some scenes are utterly ridiculous.
There's a little bit of nudity from Carla Hoogeveen, mostly side-boob.

Private Collection
Wacky comedy about two men trying to steal a valuable painting from a collector that plays as a slapstick comedy which ages the movie horrendously. At least there's a few laughs in The Adventures of Barry McKenzie, this movie is a total struggle.
Debut movie for Pamela Stephenson who's better known for her British comedy work and being married to comedian Billy Connolly. No nudity from her here but she has done nude scenes in other things like Bloodbath At The House Of Death, Stand Up Virgin Soldiers, The Day the Screaming Stopped and a sketch on Not the 9 O'Clock News. There's also a scene where two naked women are posing for an artist but I have no idea who either are. Another victim of the vague credits throughout this time.

There's no nudity in The Office Picnic, Shirley Thompson versus the Aliens, Sunstruck and the animated movie Marco Polo Jnr. versus the Red Dragon.
1973
Alvin Purple
Bawdy sex comedy that absolutely wouldn't fly today but is played for fun despite an incredibly dodgy plot where the perennially jobless Alvin Purple (Graeme Blundell) finally gets a job as a phony psychiatrist where he fucks his 'patients' and films the results which we then see. A lot of nudity in the movie including from some fairly well-known actresses and many would be naked again in subsequent movies (including Libido below). There's the feel that actresses basically 'turned up, took off their clothes, showed their stuff, got paid and then left' about the actresses in this movie. Abigail was a well-known sexpot at the time but they could only get a see-through blouse scene from her in this movie. She would eventually get naked in the next year's sequel.

Dalmas
Very experimental movie from director Bert Deling (better known for making the 1975 junkie drama Pure Shit) about a TV filmmaker (soon-to-be director John Duigan playing himself) who makes a documentary about a bunch of hippies just doing nothing. Honestly, I got no idea what's going on and it all seems a bit of a boring wank. Occasionally a sort-of known actor turns up like Max Gillies as a wheelchair bound junkie ex-cop who we get to see 'shoot up' (I doubt it was him doing though), Roger Ward as a psycho cop or the father from Storm Boy who has a drug freak-out. Sadly, that sounds more interesting than it is as the movie is basically 98 minutes of interviews of fuck-know who and experimental filming.
There's a brief nude scene from an unknown actress (there was no credits at all in the version I watched and there's only very cursory credits available elsewhere).

Libido
Four part portmanteau movie with each story about sex made by a different director. So the tone of each story changes wildly from each story. There's plenty of nudity throughout. Elke Neidhart and Debbie Nankervis are also both naked in Alvin Purple (see above) and Debbie has a very similar scene in both movies where she 'begs' a man to 'rape her' which is very odd. Robyn Nevin has a brief nude scene in the movie playing a nun but in the trailer for Libido there's some extra nudity which I hadn't capped before and can be seen below.
You can find a synopsis and the collages and videos from Libido here. A preview is below.

Suzanne Brady in Libido
There's no nudity in Come Out Fighting, Lost in the Bush and the kids movie Avengers of the Reef. I haven't been able to find the movies Linehaul, Moving On and The Sabbat of the Black Cat so it is unknown as to where there's anything to cap in any of these movies.
Back to one year in the next update as 1974 does not skimp on the nudity.
