Australian/New Zealand movies: 2005
Decided to make 2005 a three part update as I keep finding movies with something to cap in them, so they'll play a part in later updates. Not a lot of nudity in part 1 although there's extensive nudity in the repulsive 'feeder' thriller Feed plus some good nude scenes in mumblecore movies The Actress and Blacktown and also the romantic drama A Divided Heart.
Not a lot of nudity in part 2 of the 2005 but there's a fair bit of nudity in the American Pie rip-off Meat Pie and no budget drama Little Bits of Light plus there's some decent scenes in Hell Has Harbour Views, Little Fish and Man-Thing. There's some pretty good movies in this update but also what could possibly be the worst Australian movie ever.
Very limited nudity in the final update for 2005 although there's some decent nudity from Nadia Townsend in the oddball black comedy Puppy and a decent nude scene in forgotten telemovie Second Chance.
2005
The Actress
Perth-made ultra low budget drama about three housemates - a supermarket worker Tom (Matt Hardie), an office worker Kevin (Steve McCall) and a lesbian Amanda (Laura Henderson), who are looking for a fourth housemate. In walks unemployed actress Emma (Caitlin Higgins) and immediately makes her presence felt. She seduces Tom and they become a couple, then she seduces Amanda then Kevin. Emma uses her wiles to disguise the fact that all she does all day is smoke pot and watch TV. Of course, something's gotta give and Kevin starts to take it out on the other two which is exacerbated when he gets sacked for masturbating in the office. Not content with watching the house descend into madness, Emma takes it further culminating in a party where all hell breaks loose. Decent little unknown gem with an excellent performance from Caitlin Higgins (in her only ever role) who plays the trouble making minx with a hint of aloofness which makes the character even more devastating (and cheeky).
Caitlin Higgins shows her breasts and bottom during a sex scene.
You can find a synopsis with collages and videos from The Actress here. A preview is below.
Caitlin Higgins in The Actress
Blacktown
Low budget kitchen sink drama about an Indigenous man Tony (Tony Ryan) who decides to ask out the emotionally unavailable Nikki (Nikki Owen) after he saves her from a date that ends in a bad way. Her problems with men make it hard to connect with Tony but he is persistent and a nice guy who puts all his flaws out on the table for her to see and slowly but surely she comes around to him. Cheap looking rough and tumble movie with some serious technical issues but it's an early movie from one of the most prolific directors in Australia, Kriv Stenders, before he went mainstream and it's actually a pretty likeable movie helped by a very charismatic lead performance from Tony Ryan. Not for everyone but if you like low budget mumblecore dramas, this one is pretty good.
Niki Owen shows her breasts in a shower scene and then again during a sex scene although it's not easy to see.
You can find a synopsis with collages and videos from Blacktown here. A preview is below.
Niki Owen in Blacktown
Boogeyman (NZ)
Horror co-production made mostly in New Zealand during that period where a bunch of mid-tier horror movies got made in Australia/NZ (see also Darkness Falls/Don't Be Afraid of the Dark). Can't remember much about this one, something about a young man's childhood's nightmare comes to life. Barry Watson comes back to make another movie in New Zealand after the 2001 thriller When Strangers Appear.
Australian actress Tori Mussett briefly shows her breasts as she is harassed in a bath.
You can find a synopsis with collages and HD videos from Boogeyman here. A preview is below.

Deck Dogz
Baffling teen skateboarding movie about three teenage friends Spasm (Sean Kennedy), Poker (Richard Wilson) and Blue Flame (Ho Thi Lu) who are obsessed with skateboarding to the point that they annoy everyone including their families, teachers and the harried police who don't seem to have much else to do but chase them. Spasm dreams of getting sponsored after performing his signature trick in front of Tony Hawk (in a decent get extended cameo) and getting a chance with cute skateboarding chick BabyT (Alyssa McClelland) but the boys live over the other side of Sydney and it's going to take them over a day to get there. Then Spasm gets his board taken by the principal and that plan looks dead in the water until Poker and Blue Flame make a late night last ditch effort to steal his board back and in the process may have burnt the school down. Now everyone is after the three boys as they make their way to Sydney including two thugs looking for Spasm's drug addict brother. Can Spasm make his dreams come true? No idea what this movie is going for as the plot is a mess and apparently the only way to the centre of Sydney (most of the movie was made in Adelaide) is by skateboard. Then there's the whole school burned down plot which is wrapped up in the silliest way possible and honestly these boys will be warming jail cells for most of the rest of their lives. Feels like a movie written by a middle-aged man trying to work out what teenage boys like.
No nudity in Deck Dogz but there's a couple of baffling 'sexy' scenes with older women thrown in for teenage boys in the audience available below.
Glenda Linscott in Deck Dogz
2062kb 1sec 960x544 (plenty of cleavage in bodysuit, stockings and suspenders)

A Divided Heart
Romantic drama about two sisters Millie (Susan Prior) and Alice (Blazey Best) who have fallen for an American soldier Nick (Christopher Stollery) while he is stationed in Australia during World War II. Being a while since I've seen this one so that's about all I remember.
Brief nudity from Susan Prior in a few scenes.
You can find a synopsis with collages and videos from A Divided Heart here. A preview is below.
Susan Prior in A Divided Heart
The Edge of the World
Low budget thriller set around a brothel by the sea that has seen it's fair share of incidents over the years including one involving the killing of the former owner. Three old men are brought back to the brothel thanks to the contents of a biscuit tin which bring back a bunch of memories including missing diamonds and a popular sex worker Sarah (Clare Mackey) who was heavily involved in the goings on. Familiar story but not a bad little movie.
No nudity in The Edge of the World but there's a few sexy scenes featuring Clare Mackey with some collages available here.
The Extra
After the success of 1999's The Craic, popular comedian Jimeoin finally made his follow-up with this rather unassuming light comedy. A man only know as The Extra (Jimeoin) is desperate to become famous but his acting career is going nowhere as he's a bit crap. He gets work as an extra in a movie made by mobsters and that leads him to unexpected exposure and meeting fellow struggling actor Claudia (Katherine Slattery), who he falls for. Very modest movie, not very funny and more than a little silly. Was a flop at the time and it's not hard-to-see why.
No nudity in The Extra but there's a few sexy scenes throughout the movie which you can find videos of here
Feed
One of two movies The Lawnmower Man/Virtuosity director Brett Leonard made in Australia in succession. Repulsive cyber-thriller about a troubled detective Phillip (Patrick Thompson, Jack Thompson's son who's also in the movie) who is hunting a man who is 'feeding' women to death when he's not in an abusive relationship with his girlfriend Abbey (Rose Ashton). Phillip sets his sights on Michael (Alex O'Loughlin) who is renowned for setting up websites of his exploits including for his possible next victim Deidre (Gabby Millgate). Phillip and Michael have a cat-and-mouse chase but who is actually the bad guy in this situation. An ugly movie full of sleaze but worst of all it's not even all that interesting. Somehow Phillip is an Australian cop who can hop into America whenever he wants. Ooof...
Extensive nudity from Rose Ashton over a number of scenes.
You can find a synopsis with collages and videos from Feed here. A preview is below.
Rose Ashton in Feed
The Glenmoore Job
One of a bunch of 52 minute SBS telemovies that were made over this year and the next. That's about all I can remember.
No nudity in The Glenmoore Job but there's a couple of underwear scenes featuring Saskia Burmeister available here.
Hating Alison Ashley
Based on the very popular Robin Klein novel (and probably at least 10 years too late). Erica (Saskia Burmeister) is a teenage girl who can't stand how she's not the centre of attention particularly with her family and in drama class where she thinks she's a great actress. Then a new girl, Alison Ashley (Delta Goodrem), joins the school and is instantly popular and better than Erica in everything that she's good at. And Erica will do anything to take the attention away from Alison and onto her. Something for the teen girls, not bad and both Burmeister and Goodrem are well cast in their respective roles. But as I said before, I feel this book was most popular in the early 90s and probably came out too late.
No nudity in Hating Alison Ashley but you can find collages and videos featuring Rachael Carpani (playing Erica's older sister) and a bunch of girls in two camp bathroom scenes here.
The Heartbreak Tour
aka Heartbreak Tour
Another of those 52 minute SBS telemovies. This one is about a group of friends including Ryan (Toby Schmitz), Carmen (Alexandra Schepisi), Tim (Anthony Hayes), Jack (Caroline Craig) and Nick (Nathaniel Dean) who drive around town going to the places of their greatest disgraces and heartbreaks.
No nudity in The Heartbreak Tour but there's collages and videos featuring Caroline Craig and Alexandra Schepisi available here.
Hell Has Harbour Views
Cynical legal satire that was a telemovie for the ABC. Hugh (Matt Day) is rising up the ranks at his law firm and is in the middle of litigation between a disabled boy and a scummy insurance company on the side of the company. It isn't sitting well with him but he's getting through the long lunches and office politics. That is until three things happen: First, the boss of the insurance firm dies and they need the signature of second-in-charge Bruce (Steve Bisley), who is deliberately stalling because he's technically bankrupt and can't be sued. Secondly, he meets Caroline (Lisa McCune), a journalist looking for tips on the disabled boy's case and he falls for her, completely forgetting he has a girlfriend in Helen (Marta Dusseldorp). Then he accidentally see the boss of the firm (Tony Barry) fucking his rival for advancement Jill (Freya Stafford) and makes the mistake of flippantly telling second-in-charge Tim (Peter O'Brien) about it. Then all hell breaks loose. The heads of the firm try to force Hugh to sign an affidavit about what he saw and he is getting the feeling he is on the way out. And finally his conscience gets the better of him. Fairly decent satire that's heavy on the legal talk and office politics which makes it a bit tough to get into but there's enough funny stuff going on as Hugh is in the middle of a disaster and doesn't know how to get out of it. Something for the 'smarter' people.
Brief nudity from Lisa McCune plus sexy stuff from Marta Dusseldorp, Freya Stafford and Abigail Bianca, which I've made brand new videos available below.
You can find a synopsis with collages from Hell Has Harbour Views here. A preview is below.

The Illustrated Family Doctor
Pitch black comedy as in not really one, the second movie for the year from director Kriv Stenders. Gary Kelp (Samuel Johnson), who's father has just died, works at a Reader's Digest like book publisher that makes abridged versions of books and he's currently working on The Illustrated Family Doctor and it's making him sick. He can't get out of editing it so he seeks advice from head 'writer' Ray (Colin Friels) who tells him to get rid of anything that doesn't feel right. One day, Ray's daughter Christine (Jessica Napier) visits him in the office looking worse for wear and Gary takes an interest in her which may not be a good idea. This coincides with Gary meeting an old high school friend Carl (Jason Gann) who sweeps Gary's girlfriend Jennifer (Kestie Morassi) off her feet so much so that she leaves without telling him. Gary is getting sicker, the book is making him feel worse and a 'colourful character' is making weird demands to Gary and about to make Ray's life hell. Just like the publisher Gary works for this feels like an abridged movie. Ray (and Christine) disappears and Gary makes up an ending for him while Gary just seems to float through life, I mean a normal person would go to a doctor if they were sick, especially when you end up with renal failure. It just feels like a movie where things happen and you just accept them because questioning them would mean finding out the movie is half-baked.
Brief rear nudity from Jessica Napier although it could be a double as she has usually avoided nudity. I've made new videos from the movie which are available below. You can find a synopsis with collages from The Illustrated Family Doctor here.

Jewboy
Another 52 minute SBS telemovie. Drama about a young Orthodox Jewish man Yuri (Ewen Leslie) who decides to go his own way during Shiva for his father. After being rejected by family friend Rivka (Saskia Burmeister), he decides to become a taxi driver where he meets Sarita (Leah Vandenberg) who cleans the taxis and asks her out but he is too forward with her and it weirds her out. His behaviour is troubling his grandma Minnie (Naomi Wilson) and family friend Isaac (Nicholas Eadie) but Yuri wants to be his own man and decides to get his own apartment. He's also horny so he goes to a porn theatre for some relief. A basic story about a young man trying to go his own way against his religion with a pretty good lead performance from Ewen Leslie.
Brief nudity from Alice McConnell and Imelda Damayanti as a peep show dancer. I've never made videos from this movie before so the videos below are available for the first time. Previous collages are available here.

King Kong (NZ)
Peter Jackson's version of the King Kong story. You know how it goes.
No real nudity in King Kong but there's an extended section of the movie where Naomi Watts wears a flimsy dress and I've capped most of the highlights and put them in a video below.
Naomi Watts in King Kong

Little Bits of Light (NZ)
No budget, no plot movie that is somehow two hours long. Helen (Nia Robyn) suffers from extreme depression and medicates herself through pain which her boyfriend Alex (Rob Jerram) cannot take. So he decides to take her away from the city for a while and they live on a property in the country hoping it will help her. It does not. Occasionally they do something. Did I say this movie is two hours long? Fuck me...
Lengthy nudity from Nia Robyn in three scenes, one very dark so you can't see much. Each scene is very long and you can get the gist as to why the movie is... two hours long.
Nia Robyn in Little Bits of Light
51860kb 3min 57sec 768x432 (breasts, panties, extremely lengthy)

Little Fish
Thriller about former heroin addict Tracy (Cate Blanchett) who is trying to get the money together so that she can buy a store and run it herself as her past has made it impossible to get a bank loan. Things are tough for Tracy and her family but she's getting by then her ex-boyfriend Jonny (Dustin Nguyen) arrives back in the country and things look like unravelling again. Jonny ingratiates himself back into Tracy and her family's lives including the disabled Ray (Martin Henderson) but Tracy's mother (Noni Hazlehurst) is wary of Jonny's return. Well it isn't long before Tracy and Jonny are back together and he has a plan to help her raise the money quickly via a drug deal with criminal boss The Jockey (Sam Neill). Tracy also involves her stepfather Lionel (Hugo Weaving), an ailing addict in the hope of getting money to help him out too. But it doesn't all go to plan. Decent yet dour thriller helped by it's heavyweight cast of actors including a rare appearance in an Australian movie for Cate Blanchett plus it has an interesting take on an age old story.
Cate Blanchett shows her bottom and side-boob in one scene.

Little Oberon
Channel 9 telemovie that looks like a pilot for a series that never eventuated. Georgie (Tasma Walton) and her teenage daughter Natasha (Brittany Byrnes) return to Georgie's old home town of Little Oberon to be with her mother Lola (Sigrid Thornton) who is dying of cancer. The small town is full of secrets which Natasha will soon discover as she explores the place including finding out that her mother is a witch with powers. OK movie that is a little different from the usual Australian telemovies but can't help but think a lot is being held back for the not forthcoming TV series.
Tasma Walton shows her breasts and bottom while Sigrid Thornton shows side-boob. There's also another scene where a bunch of young nymphs are seen naked briefly.

Look Both Ways
Drama set over a few days where an accident brings a group of people together. Meryl (Justine Clarke) arrives home from her father's funeral and witnesses a man get hit by a train. Photojournalist Nick (William McInnes) tells his boss and friend Phil (Andrew S. Gilbert) that he has cancer and just as he's about to go home he is pulled in by journalist Andy (Anthony Hayes) to come and help cover the accident which he reluctantly does. Nick sees Meryl talking to police and becomes interested in her. He also takes a photo of the victim's wife Julia (Daniela Farinacci) arriving on the scene and it is used by the paper in the article. Andy finds out that his on-off girlfriend Anna (Lisa Flanagan) is pregnant and he can't get his head around it as he already has two children and doesn't really want anymore. Nick starts seeing Meryl everywhere he goes and both, who are currently obsessed with death, decide to hook-up. Meanwhile the train driver tries to come to terms with what happened. Maybe something good will come out of this tragic accident. Excellent look at how people deal with grief and life-changing incidents with a mix of animation and a lot of ruminating about things.
No nudity in Look Both Ways but I've made a few videos from the movie which you can find below.

Luella Miller (NZ)
Drama about Lydia (Sara Wiseman), a shy woman living in the shadow of her mother who was a notorious but now dead local sex worker. While she works at a local factory, he main love is as a dress maker. One day, Lydia is startled by a frightened, child-like woman Luella Miller (Sia Trokenheim), who has hidden inside her house. She decides to help out Luella but it isn't long before friction begins between the two women as Luella forces herself onto the town, impressing all the men and pissing off all the women. Luella sets her sights on troubled Christian (Phil Brown), who is Lydia's best friend and crush but is too scared to take the next step. Luella recognises this and plays a dangerous game where she attempts to get Lydia and Christian together just before he leaves town. This is not going to end well... OK, if slightly underdone movie that begins with the horrific suicide of Luella's father which I assume was supposed to be a bigger part of the plot, but is never mentioned again after it happens in the first ten minutes. And while it promises to be some sort of erotic thriller, it really isn't even close. It's actually quite a depressing movie and not really erotic unless you count an out-of-nowhere 'facial' scene as sexy.
Sia Trokenheim briefly shows her bottom while there looks to be a nip slip from Sara Wiseman in a deleted scene.
You can find a synopsis with collages and videos from Luella Miller here. A preview is below.

A Man's Gotta Do
Fourth and final movie from dentist and part-time filmmaker Chris Kennedy. Crime comedy about Eddy (John Howard), a fisherman who loves his wife Yvonne (Rebecca Frith) and his head-strong daughter Chantelle (Alyssa McClelland) but he has a secret. He does standover work for a local mob boss as a means to keep his materialist wife happy. Meanwhile Chantelle's fiancé Rudi (Manuel Terron) has gone missing and Eddy may have had something to do with it so he tries to get her interested in his new worker Dominic (Gyton Grantley) to keep her happy. Eddy will do anything to keep his family happy but this time he may have gone too far. Very light comedy, typical of Kennedy who never really reached for the stars with his movies.
Amie McKenna briefly shows her bottom while running away from a threatening Eddy.
You can find a synopsis with videos from A Man's Gotta Do here. A preview is below.

Man-Thing
Second Brett Leonard directed movie for the year, a Marvel Comic adaptation when they still had no idea how to make the most of their comics. Don't remember much about this except that it's a bunch of Australian actors doing Deep South accents (Jack Thompson is in the movie so he can do the one American accent he can do). Also the debut of Rachael Taylor who was still working out the bugs of her American accent.
At the beginning of the movie, Imogen Bailey has a fairly lengthy nude scene where she shows her breasts, a rare venture into nudity for Marvel Comics movies.
You can find a synopsis with collages and HD videos from Man-Thing here. A preview is below.

Meat Pie
aka Australian Pie
Filmmaker charlatan Garnet Mae decided to do his own version of American Pie and comes up with his most coherent (and releasable) movie to date which isn't saying much. Jono (Ed Kavalee, now a major radio and TV fixture) is a young sex-obsessed man but his particular fetish is for the tools of the kitchen. One day while having sex with a meat mincer, he goes too far and unsurprisingly slices off his penis. Then he his given a transplant of a black porn actor's large penis (I am not making this up). This attracts the attention of the ladies including Mandy (Joanne Ashton) and his girlfriend Charlotte (Erin Anne Gray) and maybe Jono can get laid again. Or something... at a certain point you just block out something this awful. I know it ends at a B and S ball and Austen Tayshus gets chased by an emu and the movie is full of a certain season's participants of Big Brother which severely dates this movie. I could say that this is the worst Australian movie ever made but I doubt this is even the worst movie Mae has mad. It's possibly the only movie that got a proper release although I have previously capped Duran Duran. Just irredeemably awful.
A bit of nudity from Erin Gray, Torri Worthington and a bunch of others. If Mae could be trusted there probably would've been a lot more.

Memories of Tomorrow (NZ)
Low budget spy thriller where Tanya (Rachel Gilchrist) and John (Richard Thompson) seem like the perfect couple but when an assassination of a high ranking official occurs, John starts to wonder about his past which he can't seem to remember. Tanya knows but she isn't willing to tell him. One day an old spy buddy calling himself Simon (Ray Trickitt) spies Tanya and John and decides to follow them. Then Tanya has her purse snatched and John goes after the thief and ends up killing him. Simon sees this and decides to ingratiate himself into their lives but Tanya will do anything to make sure John doesn't know about his past and that includes killing Simon. But what she doesn't know that Simon is being watched and Tanya is about to unleash the trouble she was trying to avoid. Clumsy spy thriller that has so many filler scenes that go on too long that even at 86 minutes it feels longer than that last Bond movie. The plot is barely decipherable and the purse snatching scene is absolute clunker like it failed once so they did it again which is one of the most baffling things I've ever seen. I can forgive a lot in a low budget movie but this movie pushes all credulity to the limit.
No nudity in Memories of Tomorrow but there's a brief scene where Rachel Gilchrist is in a bra which you can find below.

The Proposition
Rare Australian western from director John Hillcoat where Charlie Burns (Guy Pearce) is captured by troopers for Captain Stanley (Ray Winstone). The Captain offers up a 'proposition' that his youngest brother Mike (Richard Wilson) can avoid being executed if Charlie tracks down and brings in the most ruthlessly violent of all the Burns brothers, Arthur (Danny Huston). Charlie accepts but it doesn't go to plan as he comes across bounty hunters and Indigenous tribes, one of which puts a spear in him. Instead, Arthur finds him and gets him back to health and convinces him to get revenge on Stanley, who has executed Mike after Charlie goes off-map. Superb yet incredibly grimy thriller, the outback has never looked so unrelenting and a great collaboration between Hillcoat and musician Nick Cave.
No nudity in The Proposition but I've remade one video from the movie which is available below. You can find a collage here.

The Protector
aka Tom Yum Goong
Co-production with Thai producers for this Tony Jaa vehicle. Kham (Tony Jaa) trains elephants with his father and one day when they come to town to get their elephants checked out, his father is shot while trying to stop his elephant being taken but with the help of gangsters, both his father's elephant and Kham's baby elephant are stolen. Kham tracks them down to Sydney and he goes to get them back but is immediately put on the radar of police thanks to a rogue taxi driver. A corrupt cop Vincent (Damian de Montemas) is working for the ambitious Madame Rose (Xing Jin) who together are looking to take over the local crime gangs. After getting beaten up, Kham is helped by Thai student Pla (Bongkoj Khongmalai) who then inadvertently sees Vincent get a dupe to murder a crime boss and now she's in the firing line. Kham is dragged into this gang war with cocksure local cop Mark (Phetthai Vongkumlao) and a lot of henchman are going to collateral in Kham's pursuit for his elephants. Not bad martial arts thriller with some great stunts including a one take fight scene up a winding staircase. The plot is fairly silly but the stunts are fantastic and let's face it this is barely an Australian movie particularly the indoor scenes which are clearly shot in Thailand. Only some location scenes are shot in Sydney.
No real nudity in The Protector but there's a couple of girls with mud over their breasts plus a few sexy scenes featuring Bongkoj Khongmalai and Xing Jin.

Puppy
Oddball dark comedy where Liz (Nadia Townsend) attempts to commit suicide but is saved by Aiden (Bernard Curry) only to wake up and find herself chained to his bed with Aiden claiming that she is his wife. Liz tries to escape but cannot and is forced into a relationship with Aiden which slowly but surely makes breaks her down and she gives into him although it may not be all that reluctant. Incredibly odd two hander where two of society's outliers form a relationship that may be the best thing that happens to the both of them. There's some genuinely weird stuff going on in this movie but it's never not interesting.
A fair bit of nudity from Nadia Townsend.

River Queen (NZ)
Visually-inclined director Vincent Ward is back with this historical drama set in 1860s New Zealand where Irish woman Sarah (Samantha Morton) has lived in NZ since she was a child and grew up around the Maori people so much so that she had a relationship with a young Maori boy and bore a child which was then taken by the boy's father. Over a decade later, Sarah is still looking for her son and strikes up a friendship with Maori soldier Wirema (Cliff Curtis) who helps her find her son who is living with tribal chief Te Kai Po (Temuera Morrison). The boy is now 12 years old and fully integrated into the Maori lifestyle but eventually warms to his mother just in time for tensions between the British colonisers and Maoris to boil over into all out war. Things get worse when a soldier Sarah has been friendly with, Doyle (Kiefer Sutherland), is shot and she decides to nurse him back to life just as her son decides to play a part in the war. Good looking movie with a somewhat interesting albeit familiar story with a decent lead performance from Samantha Morton caught on both sides of the war with duelling allegiances.
There is nudity from some unknown actresses in a few scenes although I might be able to identify one or two of them over time. They may be credited but I don't know who is who.

Scratched
Low budget thriller set in Townsville as a tropical cyclone bares down on the town. Patrick (Mark Finden) gets a scratchie lotto ticket for his birthday and wins the $1 million jackpot but he can't get the money until Monday. So he hides it in a house that he shares with five of his fellow university students which is no mean feat. He also blurts this out to Jones (Kamyra Orchard), telling her the reason he's going out to celebrate. Then Patrick crosses the wrong guy at the pub who beats him to an inch of his life and he ends up on life support at the hospital. Jones has the info about the winning scratchie but doesn't know where it is so when it looks like Patrick is going to die and he didn't tell his parents about it, so she decides to tell the other housemates about the winning scratchie. This includes nerd Donald (Steven O'Donnell), violent security guard Lorenzo (Andre Seager), Jones's friend Tamsin (Emma Dean) and dim surfer Blake (Michael Sealey). They decide to search the house for the winning scratchie and as the tropical cyclone gets bigger and closer to town, things become more desperate for the housemates. Surprisingly decent little thriller that's a bit clunky but has a solid premise and at 75 minutes is a pretty good watch.
No nudity in Scratched but there's a lengthy scene where Kamyra Orchard is in her underwear which you can find a video of below.

Second Chance
Ooof, now for something completely obscure. This Channel 10 telemovie only played in the late slot on a Saturday night back in 2005/2006 and has never been seen again. I was lucky to capture it on my new HDTV card and missed probably the first 10-15 minutes of it. The plot is something about a lawyer running away to Broome in Western Australia or something. Ben Mendelsohn is in it but I don't think he was the main character.
While I didn't capture the whole movie, I was lucky to capture a nude scene from Irish/Australian actress Genevieve O'Reilly. There's also some sexy stuff from Alyssa McClelland and Jodie Dry available here but only in collage form. A preview is below.

Spring Rhapsody
An ensemble drama from prolific Melbourne director Bill Mousoulis. Would love to tell you what it's about but there's barely any dialogue or plot and apparently there's six different stories. The only one I could recognise was a gangster plot where a bunch of people got killed in ways that are remarkably similar to the Melbourne gangland wars that were represented in Underbelly.
No nudity in Spring Rhapsody but there's a scene with Nicola Wright in a bra which you can find below.

Sum of Existence
Low budget thriller where teenage girl Liz (Brooke 'Mikey' Anderson, former child actor all grown up) is kidnapped by a masked man and tied up and blindfolded for a few days before being let go. She is a mess and spends six months in mental hospital where a psychiatric doctor Dr. Juliet King (Simone Kessell) tries out an untested technique involving hypnosis and drugs which seems to work. Liz goes back to her normal life while her parents Karen (Oriana Panozzo) and Mack (Malcolm Frawley) fret about her. After an incident with a boy that likes her, Liz freaks out but the next day doesn't remember what happened and further incidents cause Liz to slit her wrists. Meanwhile her captor Alex (Josh Picker) has a new victim, the girl who played Liz in the re-enactment Frances (Kim Blumenthal) but he wants Liz back and has also set his sights on Juliet. Dicey thriller plotwise and Juliet's techniques are very dodgy. At times it feels very amateurish not helped by a plot which hinges on some well-worn clichés to get by.
No nudity in Sum of Existence but I made some collages although there's not very much to see.
Three Dollars
Movie I've completely forgotten about from the director of The Bank which also starred David Wenham and feels very familiar. It did manage to bring Sarah Wynter back for a rare role in an Australian production.
No real nudity in Three Dollars but there's some brief side-boob from Frances O'Connor and a deleted scene where Sarah Wynter is in her underwear. I've remade the videos from the movie but I don't have the disk with the deleted scenes on it so it's the video I made 19 years ago. You can find collages from the movie here.

Wolf Creek
Violent horror thriller where three backpackers Kristy (Kestie Morassi), Liz (Cassandra Magrath) and Ben (Nathan Phillips) go for a drive off the beaten track and arrive at Wolf Creek where they meet a very friendly man Mick (John Jarratt) who helps them with their car troubles and sits down for a meal with them. When Kristy and Liz wake up, they find that Mick has captured them and wants to play a game of cat-and-mouse with the two women. With no place to go and no-one to help them all the women can do is fight back but this isn't going to be a happy ending. Cold and harrowing horror movie which is a pretty decent thriller though it's not hard-to-see why it is divisive. The violence is pretty unrelenting from half-way on and Jarratt is extremely terrifying. Teresa Palmer briefly appears in her first movie.
Not 100% on this but we may see a hint of Kestie Morassi's bottom as she falls down but considering that she's been very shy in regards to doing nudity, I doubt it.
You can find a synopsis with collages and HD videos from Wolf Creek here. A preview is below.

You and Your Stupid Mate
Dopey comedy about two chronically unemployed loser friends Philip (Nathan Phillips) and Jeffrey (Angus Sampson) who are forced to get a job by a psychotic social worker Peter (William McInnes). But Philip and Jeffrey are far more interested in watching their favourite TV show, the Home and Away-like 'Son of Surf' starring Emma (Madeleine West). Then it is announced that the show has been cancelled so they come up with a plan to stop the show getting cancelled. Somehow Rachel Hunter is involved as a MILF with lots of kids. Been a while since I've seen it but I remember it being fairly laugh-free and incredibly dumb.
No nudity in You and Your Stupid Mate but there's a few videos of Madeleine West in a bikini including some extra footage.

As always there's a bunch of movies with nothing to cap including very good dark comedy The Magician, thriller Fink! aka Pros and Ex-Cons, low budget movies The Biscuit Effect, Parallels and Short and Curly, gay drama Tan Lines and telemovie Dynasty: The Making of a Guilty Pleasure. There's also the New Zealand movies like crowd pleaser The World's Fastest Indian, gay drama 50 Ways of Saying Fabulous, comedies Futile Attraction and Ozzie, drama Stringer plus thriller Hidden.
I wasn't able to find the following movies: Charlotte, Clean, Da Kath & Kim Code, Grange, Hot Rod Girls from Hell, Jack Kain - The Case of the Digit Serial Killer, Laughing Stock, Life, The Marey Project, Mosaic, One Afternoon in the City, Reason 2 Kill, Salaam Namaste, The Sticks and Thirty Eight. Plus the New Zealand movie Tyrannical Love. There's also the banned movie Welcome to Greensborough which apparently was banned for having underage sex in it.
Looks like 2006 is going to be another with three updates.
